5/1/2015 9:53:00 AM
Description: Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is an ugly 0-for-10 with five strikeouts versus Mets phenom Matt Harvey.
Insight: Harper is starting to show some of his promise batting .286 with five home runs, 15 RBI and 18 runs scored this season. However, fantasy owners should sit him on Friday.

4/30/2015 10:55:00 PM

4/6/2015 7:05:00 PM
Description: Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the, 3-1, loss to the Mets on Monday.
Insight: This was actually Harper's third home run on Opening Day in his career, so owners can't be too excited by this early success. Harper has been consistently mediocre in his three-year career, hitting between .270 and .274 each season with no more than 22 home runs, 59 RBI and 18 stolen bases. Let's see him string a few great games together before fantasy owners claim him a stud.

4/6/2015 10:28:00 AM
Description: Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is just 1-of-10 with four strikeouts against Mets starter Bartolo Colon.
Insight: Harper's numbers have been going in the wrong direction. He's played fewer games each season, hit fewer homers, knocked in fewer runs and stole less bases. Of course, he's still just 22-years-old, but the wily veteran seems to have his number and he should not be started Monday.

2/25/2015 3:30:00 PM
Description: Nationals manager Matt Williams told CSN Washington that Harper will likely hit somewhere in the middle of the lineup.
Insight: Harper mostly hit sixth last season despite his complaints. Harpes is injury prone, having missed 106 games over the last two seasons, but Williams clearly expects Harper to take his game to another level. Fantasy owners would love that.

10/8/2014 9:42:00 AM
Description: Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper does all he can in Game 4 of NLDS.
Insight: He hit a titanic home run into McCovey Cove that tied the game at 2-2, in the seventh inning. However, Washington was unable to take the lead, and lost 3-2. Harper finished the night going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a walk. If he is able to stay healthy in 2015, Harper should be an impactful fantasy player.

10/6/2014 7:59:00 PM

10/3/2014 7:14:00 PM
Description: Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper hits first homer of postseason on Friday.
Insight: It was a bomb off Giants' reliever Hunter Strickland, which got the Nationals on the board for the first time in the game. Asdrubal Cabrera hit a home run two batters later, but that was all Washington was able to muster. Harper finished the game going 2-for-4.

9/25/2014 6:28:00 PM

9/10/2014 9:36:00 AM
Description: Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper is a career .6-for-11 (.545) against Braves starter Aaron Harang,
Insight: So much talent, so little production. The left fielder still isn't living up to expectations hitting .267 with 11 home runs and 29 RBI in 300 at-bats. Remember a couple of years ago when people were asking which player was better ... Mike Trout or Harper? Seems funny now.

8/31/2014 9:51:00 PM
Description: Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper slugged two home runs, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs against the Mariners on Sunday.
Insight: What might have been the greatest sign from Harper was in the ninth inning after already hitting two home runs, he did not try to do too much and hit a single up the middle. Harper has gone 3-for-4 in two of his last three games with three home runs and three RBI. The left fielder still isn't quite living up to expectations though as he is hitting .268 with 10 home runs and 28 RBI in 269 at-bats.
