Description: The Brewers have agreed to a two-year contract with left-hander Tom Gorzelanny, who pitched with the Washington Nationals last season. SOURCE: Jon Morosi, FOX Sports
Insight: Gorzelanny spent much of his career as a starter but pitched well as Washington's long man out of the bullpen last seaon, posting a 2.88 ERA in 72 innings over 45 appearances. He'll probably serve the same role with Milwaukee and will carry no fantasy value.

Description: Nationals SP Tom Gorzelanny threw 8 shutout innings to pick up the win against the Giants; he allowed just 3 hits and struck out 4.
Insight: Gorzy has pitched well this season but will not get many wins pitching for the Nats. As such, his fantasy value is really limited to NL-only leagues or deep, deep mixed leagues.

3/16/2011 5:48:00 AM
Description: Tom Gorzelanny allowed one run over four innings last night against the Mets.
Insight: He should have a rotation spot locked up on his new team. It is possible that we haven't seen the best of Gorzy so far in his career but he will need to significantly reduce his WHIP in order to help fantasy owners.

Description: The Cubs have traded Tom Gorzelanny to Washington for three prospects. SOURCE: ESPN
Insight: A great deal for the Cubs since Gorzy was a spare part at this point and they get some prospects back after losing several in the Matt Garza trade. He will be a part of Washington's rotation and should be serviceable for them. Expect a mid-4.00's ERA and around 10-11 wins.

Description: Tom Gorzelanny won his third straight start tonight by allowing three runs (two earned) over 6 2/3 innings.
Insight: He hasn't been dominant in his starts and we are concerned about 5 walks tonight and 6 walks in a different start. That being said, he is pitching well enough to warrant a roster spot in deeper leagues.

6/30/2010 10:36:00 PM
Description: Gorzelanny pitched five shutout innings against the Pirates on Wednesday in his return to the starting rotation.
Insight: Gorzelanny was not used much out of the bullpen, so the Cubs were careful with him today. He will take Carlos Zambrano's spot in the Cubs' starting rotation, and is worth a shot in NL-only leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

6/25/2010 9:02:00 PM
Description: Gorzelanny allowed one run over 3.1 innings against the White Sox on Friday after replacing Carlos Zambrano in the game.
