Game On Dude works for San Antonio Handicap

Arcadia, CA (Sports Network) - Game On Dude had his final workout Monday morning in advance of Sunday's San Antonio Handicap at Santa Anita Park. The 6-year-old gelding will go for his second straight win in the 1 1/8-mile stakes.

Trained by Bob Baffert, Game On Dude covered five-furlongs in 59 3/5 seconds over a track listed as 'wet fast.'

On his Twitter account, the Hall of Fame trainer noted that the gelding along with Flashback "worked great today. All set for the weekend."

Game On Dude will follow the San Antonio with the Santa Anita Handicap on March 2, a race he won two years ago.

Co-owned by Joe Torre, Game On Dude has won 10 of 22 career starts for more than $3.1 million. After finishing seventh as the favorite in last year's Breeders' Cup Classic, he closed his 2012 season with a victory in the Native Diver Handicap at Hollywood Park.
