The season finale is upon us and numerous awards are still up for grabs. The Rolex Player of the Year, the money title, the Vare Trophy and Rolex Rankings No. 1 will all be decided this week. Jiyai Shin, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, Yani Tseng, Na Yeon Choi and Ai Miyazato all have a chance to end the year ranked No. 1 in the world. Shin is currently the top-ranked player with Pettersen second. Each of these players, except for Pettersen, has a chance to win Player of the Year. Tseng currently leads Miyazato for Player of the Year by nine points. Choi is 14 points back, with Kerr 15 points back and Shin 18 points behind. A win carries a point value of 30. Choi leads the Vare Trophy race with a scoring average of 69.77, followed by Kerr at 69.86, Pettersen at 69.92 and Shin at 69.95. The money title comes down to Choi and Shin, with Choi leading by $34,790. Shin captured the money title last year.

Last year, Anna Nordqvist fired a seven-under 65 in the final round to cruise to a two-stroke win over Lorena Ochoa at the rain-plagued event. Nordqvist, who won the McDonald's LPGA Championship earlier in 2009, finished at 13- under-par 203. The season-ending tournament was shortened to three rounds when Saturday was washed out by rain.

Nordqvist birdied the second, then caught fire at the eighth in the final round. She poured in five consecutive birdies to jump to 12-under. After back- to-back birdies at eight and nine, Nordqvist made a 10-footer at the 10th to take a one-stroke lead. She followed with an 18-footer on 11 before getting up and down for birdie on the par-five 12th to move two strokes clear of the field. After a bogey on 13, Nordqvist converted back-to-back birdie efforts from the 14th to move to 13-under. She parred the final three holes to cruise to the victory.

This year's tournament is being held at Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The course was designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and opened for play in 1984. Nicklaus redesigned the course in 2007 and 2008. Last year's inaugural event was staged at The Houstonian Golf & Country Club in Houston, Texas.

This tournament has a field of 120 players. The field will be cut to the low 70 players after the second round and the low 30 players after the third round.
