NOTES
The LPGA Tour continues its trek through Asia with a stop in South Korea. New (and former) world No. 1 Cristie Kerr highlights the field, but not all of the now renowned top five made the trip. Ai Miyazato, who lost the top spot this week, and Yani Tseng both skipped this championship, but Jiyai Shin and Suzann Pettersen are here. The tournament, a 54-holer, is being staged at the Ocean Course at Sky 72 Golf Club in Incheon, South Korea for the second straight year. The first four years of the event were held at Nine Bridges Golf Club before moving to Mauna Ocean Golf & Resort in 2006-07. Last year, Na Yeon Choi birdied the 18th hole on Sunday to capture her second win of the season at the Hana Bank-KOLON Championship. Playing in her native South Korea, Choi, who claimed her first career LPGA Tour win in September at the Samsung World Championship, fired a five-under 67 in the final round and finished at 10-under 206, one shot ahead of Yani Tseng and Maria Hjorth. Next week is the Mizuno Classic, which was won by Bo Bae Song.
