Trio of Alouettes headline CFL's top players

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Montreal Alouettes linebackers Kyries Hebert, Shea Emry, kicker Sean Whyte, and Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell were selected as the top players in the CFL for Week 5 of the 2013 season.

Hebert took home Defensive Player of the Week honors after totaling 10 tackles, two sacks and a special teams stop in Montreal's nail-biting 32-27 win over Edmonton.

Whyte went a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals and added a pair of converts to earn the Special Teams Player of the Week award, while Emry picked off a pair of passes in the Alouettes' decision over the Eskimos to garner Canadian Player of the Week honors.

Mitchell was named Offensive Player of the Week after racking up 376 yards and three touchdowns while making his first career CFL start in Calgary's 37-24 win over Winnipeg.

Mitchell's 376 passing yards were the third most yards by a quarterback in his debut since 2002.
