Montreal's Richardson leads pack of CFL's best
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Montreal Alouettes slotback Jamel Richardson was among the four players named as the Canadian Football League's top players for Week 17.
Richardson garnered top offensive honors for the first time in 2012 after recording 161 yards on eight receptions in the Alouettes' 34-28 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Defensive honors went to Calgary Stampeders defensive back Keon Raymond, who posted eight tackles, two sacks and one interception returned for a touchdown as his club nipped the Tiger-Cats by a 34-32 count at McMahon Stadium.
Riders kick returner Weston Dressler took home the special teams award, after totaling 76 yards and one touchdown on two punt returns in Saskatchewan's loss to Montreal. He took one punt 66 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Canadian player of the week honors went to Stampeders running back Jon Cornish, who totaled 108 yards and one score on seven catches with 27 yards and another touchdown on 13 carries.
