Winnipeg's Simpson, Muamba among CFL's best

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Chad Simpson and linebacker Henoc Muamba were among the four players chosen as the Canadian Football League's top players for Week 13.

BC Lions linebacker Adam Bighill and Montreal Alouettes kick returner Trent Guy accompanied Simpson and Muamba with stellar performances for their respective teams during Week 13.

Simpson garnered Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for a career-high 134 yards on 19 carries, while also catching four passes for 58 yards, in the Blue Bombers' 34-12 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Muamba, the Canadian Player of the Week, registered five tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in the victory, helping Winnipeg move within one game of the Ticats for third in the East Division.

Bighill recorded three tackles, two sacks and one interception in the Lions' 19-18 win over Edmonton to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Guy was named Special Teams Player of the Week after he returned a missed field goal 129 yards for a touchdown in the Alouettes' 31-10 win over Toronto.
