Stanford dominates Washington State in Pac-12 QFs
Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Chiney Ogwumike totaled 23 points, 21 rebounds, four assists and four blocks, as fourth-ranked Stanford blew past Washington State, 79-60, in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament.
The Cardinal (29-2) also received 17 points from Sara James and 10 from Joslyn Tinkle. Stanford will play No. 18 Colorado in the semifinals Saturday.
Ogwumike became the first player in Pac-12 tourney history to have a 20-point, 20-rebound game. Stanford, trying for its seventh straight Pac-12 Tournament crown, won its 15th in a row and moved to 55-0 all-time against Washington State.
Lia Galdeira had 16 points for the Cougars (11-20), who shot 34.7 percent from the field.
Stanford scored 13 of the game's first 17 points and held a 35-23 halftime lead. The double-digit margin remained for the entire second half.
