The Demon Deacons ran the ball only 15 times for just 15 yards.
The Warhawks opened up the game with a huge 17-play, 69-yard drive which lasted nearly seven minutes and was capped off by a one-yard touchdown pass from Browning to Harley Scioneaux.
Wake Forest responded with a 65-yard touchdown pass from Price to Reynolds. After a 28-yard field from Chad Hedlund to start the second quarter, the Demon Deacons led, 10-7.
With 41 seconds left in the first half, Browning hit Kenzee Jackson for a five-yard touchdown pass to give ULM a 14-10 lead. Wake Forest went into the break trailing by just a single point though as it was able to put together a quick eight-play, 54 yard drive which resulted in a 38-yard field goal from Hedlund as time expired.
The Warhawks were the first to score in the second half as Browning found Maye for a quick screen pass which went nine yards for a touchdown.
Trailing 21-13, Price threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Reynolds with just four seconds remaining in the game. Forced to go for the two-point conversion to tie the game, Wake Forest's final effort was unsuccessful as Price's pass was incomplete. ULM's defensive stand earned the Warhawks the, 21-19, victory.
ULM controlled the ball the entire game and held a 26-15 advantage in first downs en route to the victory. The Warhawks recorded nearly 40 minutes of possession with more than 10 minutes of possession in both the second and fourth quarters.
