Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Juwan Howard, Jr. and Ray McCallum scored 17 points each to push the Detroit Titans to a 75-63 victory over the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers at Gentile Arena.

Nick Minnerath contributed 14 points and seven rebounds for Detroit (13-8, 5-3 Horizon) before fouling out. Jason Calliste and Doug Anderson produced 12 and 11 points, respectively, as the Titans picked up their second win in three outings.

Christian Thomas registered a double-double of 18 points and 11 boards for Loyola (12-8. 2-5). Cully Payne went 5-of-9 from the field en route to 15 points, but he also committed seven turnovers. Ben Averkamp netted 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but the Ramblers were still unable to extend their two-game winning streak.

The Titans opened up the contest on an 8-0 run, but they cooled off and shot just 29.0 percent from the floor including a 1-of-8 clip from beyond the arc in the first half. Averkamp sank an attempt from distance with 48 seconds left in the period to send Loyola into the intermission on top, 27-24.

Although the Ramblers converted 55.6 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half, Detroit managed to erase the halftime deficit and run off to a double-digit margin victory by submitting a 19-of-25 shooting performance from the floor over the final 20 minutes of action.

Loyola was unable to overcome its 17 turnovers, which led to three less field goal attempts and eight fewer free throw tries.
