Final Score: Georgia Tech 66, Virginia 60

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Mfon Udofia scored a team-high 15 points to lift the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a 66-60 decision over the Virginia Cavaliers in an Atlantic Coast Conference tilt at McCamish Pavilion.

Robert Carter, Jr. and Chris Bolden added 14 points each for Georgia Tech (12-8, 2-6 ACC), which also received 12 points off the bench from Kammeon Holsey. Carter Jr. and Daniel Miller grabbed eight boards apiece to help the Yellow Jackets collected their second win in three games.

Joe Harris paced Virginia (15-6, 5-3) with 18 points. Akil Mitchell registered a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds while Justin Anderson netted 10 points off the bench for the Cavaliers, who had won their previous four games.

The Cavaliers connected on 51.9 percent of their field goal attempts including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc to take a 37-28 lead into halftime. Georgia Tech trailed after shooting 45.5 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

Virginia cooled off to make only 28.6 percent of its attempts from the field after the break. The Yellow Jackets rallied back by hitting 50 percent of their field goal tries and 11-of-16 at the charity stripe over the final 20 minutes.

In the hard-fought matchup between ACC foes, Georgia Tech held a narrow, 32-31 edge in the rebounding battle.
