(Saturday, January 12)

Final Score: UCLA 78, Colorado 75

Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Travis Wear tallied a career-high 23 points, as the surging UCLA Bruins upended the Colorado Buffaloes, 78-75, in Pac-12 Conference play from the Coors Events Center.

Jordan Adams added 18 points for UCLA (14-3, 4-0 Pac-12) and sank a pair of free throws with seven seconds remaining to seal the win. Shabazz Muhammad chipped in with 14 points, while Kyle Anderson posted his fifth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Bruins, marking their longest winning streak since the 2008-09 squad won 10 straight.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 23 points to lead the Buffaloes (11-5, 1-3), who suffered their first home loss in eight tries this season. Josh Scott and Askia Booker each scored 18 for CU, while Andre Roberson (five points) pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.

The first half featured five ties and a dozen lead changes, although UCLA claimed a 35-34 halftime advantage behind a 50-percent shooting effort from the floor.

Wear provided a spark by scoring 14 of his 23 points in the second half. UCLA was clinging to a 44-43 lead when it went on a 17-5 run over a span of nearly seven minutes. Still, the Buffaloes would not go quietly, and they eventually trimmed the margin to 76-75 with seven seconds remaining before Adams made those late free throws to seal the outcome.

The Bruins shot 51.7 percent for the game and held a 17-4 advantage in fast- break points.
