Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Erik Etherly scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds as they rallied late in the second half to defeat the Fairfield Stags, 63-58, in an overtime thriller at Reitz Arena.

Dylon Cormier added 19 points and seven rebounds for Loyola (12-5, 4-1 MAAC), which picked up its third win in a row. Robert Olson tallied 12 points while Anthony Winbush grabbed nine rebounds and dealt out five assists.

Keith Matthews registered a double-double of 13 points and 10 boards for Fairfield (10-7, 2-3) as it dropped its second straight decision. Josip Mikulic provided a spark off the bench with 16 points and six rebounds.

The Stags faced a six-point deficit early on in the contest, but Mikulic caught fire in the first half to lead them to a 33-27 halftime lead. Mikulic scored 14 points and grabbed five boards while Fairfield converted 47.8 percent of its field goal attempts in the opening 20 minutes.

The Greyhounds trailed for the majority of the second stanza, but they held the visitors to 26.9 percent shooting from the field to prevent the Stags from running away with it. Cormier put in a layup with 2:07 left in regulation to even the score at 47 and neither side could produce any more points before the end of the second half which sent the contest into overtime.

Loyola went 3-of-4 from the floor and drained 10-of-12 at the charity stripe in the extra session to survive the close call.

The free throw line played a very big role as the Greyhounds made 25-of-34 foul shots while the Stags converted only 8-of-17.
