NCAA Game Summary - Cleveland State at Valparaiso (Friday, January 4) Final Score: Valparaiso 74, Cleveland State 50 Valparaiso, IN (Sports Network) - Ryan Broekhoff recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds as he helped guide the Crusaders of Valparaiso to a 74-50 win over the Cleveland State Vikings in Horizon League action at the Athletics-Recreation Center. Also scoring in double figures for the Crusaders (11-5, 1-1 HL) were Matt Kenney and Will Bogan with 14 and 13 points, respectively, as the team won for the fourth time in the last five outings. The Vikings (8-7, 0-1) were paced by Luda Ndaye who tallied 15 points off the bench, followed by Bryn Forbes with 12 as he knocked down all six of his attempts at the free-throw line for a team that lost for the third time in four games. Valpo opened the meeting on a 12-1 run and never looked back, holding the visitors to just 6-of-26 (.231) shooting from the floor in the first half, en route to a 35-18 advantage at the break. In the second half CSU again had trouble shooting the ball from the field (.375) and missed all eight chances behind the 3-point line as Valpo ran away with the 24-point victory.
