NCAA Game Summary - Montana State at Portland State

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Chehales Tapscott registered a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds as Portland State delivered a 75-53 win over Montana State in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament at the Stott Center.
Also scoring in double figures for the third-seeded Vikings (17-13) were Charles Odum with 16 points, Lateef McMullan 14 and Renado Parker 13 points to go along with his nine rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.
The sixth-seeded Bobcats (12-17) were paced by Mohammed Fall who posted 14 points and seven rebounds, followed by Christian Moon with 12 points and five assists in the setback.
PSU scored the first points of the night and never looked back, limiting the Bobcats to just 1-of-9 shooting behind the three-point line as the Vikings recorded a 31-23 lead at the break.
In the second half Portland State continued to pull away by connecting on 57.9 percent from the field and 18-of-22 at the free-throw line.
The Vikings outscored MSU at the charity stripe by a 19-6 margin and also outrebounded the Bobcats, 39-26.
With the victory the Vikings advance to the semifinals on Tuesday night where they will take on second-seeded Weber State for the right to appear in the title game on Wednesday.
