NCAA Game Summary - Kent State at Eastern Michigan

Final Score: Kent State 62, Eastern Michigan 58

Ypsilanti, MI (Sports Network) - Justin Greene scored 17 points as the Kent State Golden Flashes downed the Eastern Michigan Eagles 62-58 in Mid-American Conference action at the Convocation Center.

Carlton Guyton added 11 points for the Golden Flashes (17-6, 7-3 MAC), who have won five straight. Chris Evans contributed 10 points. Michael Porrini pulled down seven rebounds and handed out five assists.

Darrell Lampley topped all scorers with 18 points for the Eagles (10-14, 5-5), who have lost their last three. He also handed out seven assists. Antonio Green finished with 12 points and Jamell Harris 10. Lampley, Harris, and Matt Balkema each hauled down five rebounds.

Kent State led 32-31 at halftime after shooting 60 percent from the floor in the first half. The halftime lead was Kent State's first of the game. Eastern Michigan led by nine on two occasions.

A J.R, Sims jumper with 48 seconds left gave the hosts a 58-56 lead but Randal Holt's three-pointer with 23 seconds remaining put the Golden Flashes back in front. Evans hit three foul shots in the closing seconds.

Kent State was 13-of-19 from the foul line while the Eagles were just 4-of-6. The two teams turned the ball over just six times each.
