Greeley, CO (Sports Network) - Dylan Garrity tallied 16 points and nine assists as the Sacramento State Hornets took down the Northern Colorado Bears 73-62 in Big Sky Conference play at Butler-Hancock Pavilion.
Joe Eberhard added 14 points for Sacramento State (7-14, 2-8 Big Sky) and Jackson Carbajal netted 11. The Hornets are winners of back-to-back games after losing their previous nine contests.
For Northern Colorado (7-14, 4-6), Tevin Svihovec led all scorers with 19 points and Connor Osborne chipped in with 11 points.
Sacramento State started the game on a 24-8 run and spent most of the half nursing a double digit lead, taking a comfortable 36-22 advantage into the halftime locker room.
The Hornets continued to front run in the second as the Bears never got within eight points of the lead.
Sacramento State shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded Northern Colorado 37-30.
