NCAA Game Summary - South Alabama at New Orleans (Thursday, February 4th) Final Score: South Alabama 59, New Orleans 51 New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Tim Williams scored 16 points and added 11 rebounds as the South Alabama Jaguars got past the New Orleans Privateers, 59-51, in a Sun Belt Conference game. Gary Redus scored 16 points of his own and added eight boards for the Jaguars (13-11, 5-7 Sun Belt), who broke a four-game losing streak. Martino Brock added 12 points. Devin McDonald paced the Privateers (7-16, 2-10) with 14 points. Carl Blair added 10 points and six assists but couldn't keep his team from its fifth straight loss. South Alabama led by 12 late in the first half before taking a 33-23 lead into halftime. The Jaguars shot 48.1 percent from the floor in the opening stanza. The game was tied at 37 with 15:22 left before South Alabama took the lead for good. The Jaguars extended their lead to 10 with 8;48 left, and New Orleans got no closer than five the rest of the way.
