Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Jamar Nutter posted a game-high 23 points to lead the Seton Hall Pirates to a 94-80 victory over the Loyola Maryland Greyhounds in a non-conference affair as part of the Philly Hoop Group Classic.

Nutter hit 7-of-14 shots from the floor, including 5-of-11 from beyond the arc in the Pirates' (3-0) victory. Jeremy Hazell checked in from the bench to net 17 points, while Eugene Harvey scored 16 and dished out six assists.

Gerald Brown scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Loyola Maryland (3-2), and Michael Tuck contributed 14 points. Marquis Sullivan tallied 13 points and Omari Isreal chipped in 12 points in the loss.

Seton Hall shot 43.6 percent from the floor and converted 13-of-14 foul shots in the first half, as the Pirates took a commanding 51-36 lead into the break.

The Pirates again shot 43 percent in the second stanza, and they secured the victory with five three-pointers and 10-of-14 shooting from the charity stripe.

The Greyhounds struggled from three-point range in the loss, shooting just 7- of-22 from beyond the arc. They also committed 19 turnovers, compared to eight by Seton Hall.
