Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot.
Insight: Craig Grialou from 620 AM in Phoenix hears that Gortat could end up missing the rest of the season. One of the Morris twins will probably move into the starting lineup to take Gortat's place. The question is, which one will it be: Marcus (8.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg) or Markieff (7.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg)?

3/7/2013 10:15:00 AM
Description: According to Craig Grialou from Arizona Sports 620, Suns center Marcin Gortat heard a pop when he hurt his foot Wednesday against Toronto.
Insight: Gortat's X-rays came back negative but he still has to get an MRI so he's definitely not out of the woods yet. We're not expecting Gortat (11.1 ppg, 8.5 rpg) to be in the lineup Friday night against Sacramento.

3/6/2013 10:55:00 PM
Description: Suns center Marcin Gortat left Wednesday's game with a right foot injury but X-rays were negative.
Insight: He'll undergo an MRI on Thursday. The team is also without Jermaine O'Neal, whose daughter underwent heart surgery on Wednesday. Phoenix has a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday.

3/6/2013 9:49:00 PM
Description: Suns center Marcin Gortat left Wednesday's game with a right foot injury and is doubtful to return, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Gortat is getting an X-ray on his foot. It's unfortunate for fantasy owners because he already had eight points and four rebounds in 11 minutes of play. The Suns are also without Jermaine O'Neal, whose daughter is undergoing heart surgery.

1/9/2013 10:25:00 PM
Description: Marcin Gortat was productive in Wednesday night's loss to the Celtics. The Suns center finished with 12 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks.
Insight: Gortat's scoring is down (11.6 ppg versus 15.4 last season) but he still leads the team in rebounds and blocked shots. He'll try and stay hot Friday night against Brooklyn.

1/8/2013 10:38:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds Tuesday against Milwaukee. Gortat added three assists and a block while shooting 7-of-11 from the field.
Insight: Gortat has turned in four double-doubles with eight total blocks in his last five games.

1/5/2013 10:58:00 AM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat turned in a line reminiscent of earlier in the season when he scored 18 points with 11 rebounds and three blocks on Friday against Utah.
Insight: Gortat averaged 14.5 points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.3 blocks over his first six games but saw his production slip to 10.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in the 27 games prior to Friday night. The second stretch should be his expected level of production for the remainder of the season.

12/28/2012 10:09:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat made 6-of-9 field goals for 15 points with 10 boards and one steal Friday against the Pacers.
Insight: Gortat is back to being an above average center option after losing playing time to Jermaine O'Neal in late November.

12/20/2012 11:06:00 AM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat had eight points and nine rebounds Wednesday after putting up consecutive double-doubles the previous two games.
Insight: Playing time hasn't been an issue for Gortat recently; he's averaging 34 mpg over his last five games after losing time to Jermaine O'Neal during the second half of November. While averaging 11 ppg and 8.3 rpg, down from 15.4 ppg and 10 rpg last season, Gortat has upped his blocks to 2.1 per game.

Cold12/8/2012 7:34:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat continues to struggle to make a fantasy impact. He's only scored nine points on 3-of-11 shooting with nine rebounds over his last two games.
Insight: Gortat had averages of 12.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game in his first nine contests but is only posting 10 ppg, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over his last 12. Suns coach Alvin Gentry is giving too much playing time to Jermaine O'Neal for Gortat to be a dominant fantasy option like he was earlier this season, and it might only get worse now that Luis Scola is logging some minutes at center.

Cold11/30/2012 10:05:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat is only averaging 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.0 block per game since Jermaine O'Neal returned from an injury eight games ago.
Insight: Gortat had averages of 12.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game in his first nine contests but O'Neal has surprisingly carved a role for himself in Phoenix' rotation. Gortat had 14 points and six rebounds Friday against Toronto but that's probably the best you can hope for while O'Neal is getting 18-plus minutes per game.

Cold11/27/2012 9:43:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat scored in single figures Tuesday against the Cavaliers for the fourth time in six games after doing so just once in his first nine games.
Insight: Gortat had averages of 12.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game in his first nine contests but Tuesday's six-point, three-rebound effort gives him averages of 10.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.8 blocks his last six games. His downswing has a direct correlation to the resurgence of backup center Jermaine O'Neal, who is averaging 12 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 22-plus minutes per game over his last six.

Hot11/7/2012 10:24:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat had a phenomenal game Wednesday night against Charlotte. In 38 minutes, Gortat tallied 23 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots.
Insight: Gortat's production has been off the charts this season. In five games, he's averaging an absurd 4.2 bpg. Make sure he's in your lineup Friday when the Suns host Cleveland.

10/24/2012 10:59:00 AM
Description: Phoenix center Marcin Gortat posted 19 points and 10 boards Tuesday night against Golden State.
Insight: Gortat is coming off the best season of his career (15.4 ppg, 10 rpg, 1.5 bpg) but it appears that he will continue to produce at this new level. If true he's a top-10 fantasy center who is being drafted as a late-third rounder which is below his true value.

Cold3/18/2012 10:21:00 AM
Description: Marcin Gortat is having the best season of his career (16.0 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 1.5 bpg), but his statistics in March are down slightly from the last two months. Gortat hasn't posted a 10 rebound game in his last four contests and twice scored in the single digits.
Insight: It's possible that Gortat is hitting a wall. He's averaging 33.0 mpg this season which is much more than in any previous year and as a primary offensive weapon he along with Steve Nash is the focus of opposing defenses.

3/23/2011 2:08:00 AM
Description: Marcin Gortat was definitely not a Polish joke by erupting for 24 points, 16 boards, and two blocks in 53 minutes.
Insight: How Gortat is not owned in 100 percent of leagues makes about as much sense as a solar-powered flashlight. He needs to be started with confidence.

3/11/2011 12:02:00 PM
Description: Gortat posted 14 points, 18 boards, four assists, three steals and two blocks Thursday night, continuing a hot streak.
Insight: It was his second straight double-double and sixth in nine games. Unfortunately, the Suns say they still plan to bring him off the bench. Still, Gortat has been producing very well in that role lately. (RapidDraft.com)

3/1/2011 12:04:00 AM
Description: Marcin Gortat (17), Jared Dudley (10), Aaron Brooks(8), Mickael Pietrus (13), and Hakim Warrick (16) points outscored the Suns' starters on Monday.
Insight: Gortat is obviously a must-own center in every league, but none of these guys are worth owning. It's also worth mentioning Vince Carter was terrible in his return to Jersey and is no longer a must-own player.

2/13/2011 10:14:00 PM
Description: Marcin Gortat had a huge game to end the week with 20 points, 12 boards, and three blocks in 34 minutes.
Insight: He made all eight of his attempts from the line as well. Shame on any owner who haphazardly cut the man from Poland too soon as he is a must-own center until further notice.

2/3/2011 1:04:00 AM
Description: Marcin Gortat (19 points, 11 boards, two blocks, and a steal) and Channing Frye (14 points, 13 boards, three swats, and two from downtown) are both on fire and helped the Suns take down the Bucks.
Insight: They both aren't this good, but they are more than capable of flirting with top-50 value. If you have either, then it might be a great idea to try and flip them for an elite options. If you want them, then it would be wise to wait for either guy to have an off night before attempting to strike up a deal.
