Philadelphia's Miller wins Player of the Week (Courtesy of National Lacrosse League) New York, NY (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Wings goaltender Brandon Miller is the National Lacrosse League's Overall Player of the Week for the games played on January 29-30, Week #4 of the 2011 season. Miller's play in the Wings net led Philadelphia to two wins this past weekend. On Friday, he held the high- powered offense of the Boston to five goals, making 43 saves in an 11-5 win. On Saturday, he made 44 saves in a 12-11 win over Colorado. Three Calgary Roughnecks were honored for their play in a two-game weekend sweep of the Edmonton Rush. Dane Dobbie won the Offensive Player of the Week award for a three goal and six assists performance on Friday, followed by a one goal and three assists game on Saturday. Jeff Shattler won Transition Player of the Week for a one goal and two assist performance on Friday and a two goal and five assists game on Saturday. Rookie forward Curtis Dickson wins Rookie of the Week for a three goal and one assist performance on Friday and repeated those numbers on Saturday. The Roughnecks won 15-11 at Edmonton on Friday, and 12-11 in overtime against Edmonton at home on Saturday. Rock goaltender Bob Watson wins Defensive Player of the Week. Watson made 50 saves on 55 shots faced in an 8-5 win over Buffalo on Saturday.
