Edmonton's Greer wins Player of the Week

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Edmonton Rush forward Zack Greer is the National Lacrosse League Overall Player of the Week for the games played on the weekend of March 25-27, Week #12 of the 2011 regular season.
Greer had a career night against his former team on March 25th, scoring five goals and two assists to help the Rush to a much-needed 14-13 victory over the Minnesota Swarm. Greer scored his fifth goal of the game with four seconds (:04) remaining in regulation to seal the win as Edmonton stays in control of its own destiny for a playoff berth. Greer was also named the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Scott Campbell wins the Defensive Player of the Week. Campbell scored his first career hat trick and collected five loose balls in a 13-10 win over Philadelphia on Saturday.
The Calgary Roughnecks continue piling up the weekly hardware during their current five game winning streak. Jeff Shattler wins the Transition Player of the Week Award. Shattler scored three goals, collected four assists, and picked up seven loose balls in a 14-9 win over Toronto. Calgary forward Curtis Dickson wins Rookie of the Week honors after tallying three goals and an assist in the win over the Rock.
The weekly player awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the league's ten member clubs.
