Murfreesboro, TN (Sports Network) - Marcos Knight recorded a game-high 15
points as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders defeated the Western Kentucky
Hilltoppers, 72-53, in Sun Belt Conference action at the Murphy Center.
Knight also dished out five assists in the Blue Raiders' (18-4, 10-1 Sun Belt)
victory. Neiko Hunter tallied 13 points and five boards, while Bruce Massey
added 10 points, seven boards, six assists, and four steals as Middle
Tennessee won its seventh consecutive game.
For the Hilltoppers (11-11, 5-6), Kevin Kaspar scored 14 points but was the
only player in double-figures as they lost their third straight game.
Middle Tennessee shot 44 percent from the floor in the first half while
holding the visitors to a mere 6-of-19 shooting en route to a 30-23 advantage
at the break.
The Blue Raiders were 14-of-27 from the floor in the second half and dominated
second chance points, 15-3, as they cruised to the 19-point triumph.
Middle Tennessee forced 18 turnovers and turned those miscues into 17 points.
