NCAA Game Summary - Eastern Michigan at Western Michigan

Kalamazoo, MI (Sports Network) - Shayne Whittington scored 14 points as the
Western Michigan Broncos took down the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 63-59, in a
Mid-American Conference tilt at University Arena.
Nate Hutcheson had 12 points, Darius Paul added 11 points and was a rebound
shy of a double-double while Brandon Pokley chipped in 10 points for Western
Michigan (11-7, 3-2 MAC) which extended its winning streak to three games.
Daylen Harrison scored a game-high 16 points, Glenn Bryant added 12 and Jamell
Harris tacked on 10 more for Eastern Michigan (9-10, 2-3) which had won back-
to-back games entering play.
Each team shot an identical 42.9 percent from the field in the first half as
the teams went into halftime even at 24-24.
Western Michigan improved to 50 percent shooting in the second half and used
an 11-of-13 effort from the free-throw line to hold off the Eagles.
Western Michigan outscored Eastern Michigan 22-14 on points in the paint but
was outrebounded 34-28.
