NCAA Game Summary - Oakland at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - J.J. Moore came off the bench to tally a
double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds as the Pittsburgh Panthers erased
an 18-point second half deficit to defeat the Oakland Grizzles at Petersen
Events Center, 72-62 in overtime.
James Robinson scored 14 points while Dante Taylor added 12 points and nine
boards for Pittsburgh (4-0). Tray Woodall scored just six points on 2-of-14
from the field but he dished out nine assists.
For Oakland (1-3), Corey Petros made 8-of-11 from the field en route to a
game-high nine points. Travis Bader put up 16 points and Duke Mondy netted 14.
The Grizzlies shot a lofty 59.1 percent from the field in the opening half as
they got out to a comfortable 34-20 lead. Pittsburgh made just 8-of-26 from
the floor in the opening 20 minutes.
Oakland led, 48-30, with 11:34 to play, but the Panthers managed to chip away
down the stretch and it was down just seven, 58-51, in the final minute. A
Robinson free throw made it a six-point game, then Oakland missed the front
end of a one-and-one. Taylor recorded a pair of baskets within 10 seconds of
each other, and following a turnover by the Grizzlies, Robinson nailed two
more free throws to tie the game at 58-58 with 10 seconds remaining. Both
teams came up empty-handed on their final possessions and the game went to
overtime.
The Panthers outscored the Grizzlies 14-4 in the extra session to secure the
comeback win.
Pittsburgh outrebounded Oakland by a 42 to 27 margin.
