NCAA Game Summary - Wofford at Xavier

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Karl Cochran scored 20 points to lift the
Wofford Terriers over the Xavier Musketeers, 56-55, in non-conference play at
the Cintas Center.
Cochran was 6-of-16 from the field and made all five of his free-throw
attempts, adding five rebounds for Wofford (6-6) which earned just its
second road win in eight tries this season. Spencer Collins added 17 points
while Lee Skinner, who ended up hitting the game-winning free throw, led the
team with eight rebounds.
The Musketeers (7-4) suffered their third loss in four games despite an
impressive double-double performance by Travis Taylor who recorded 20 points
and 11 rebounds, to go along with three blocks. Semaj Christon also played
well with 10 points and eight assists.
Xavier led 34-22 at halftime after shooting 58.3 percent from the field and
holding Wofford to 38.1 percent.
The Terriers fought back in the second half and, after a 16-4 run, tied
the game at 40-40 with 12:59 remaining. After Xavier regained the lead, a
3-pointer by Collins at the 3:10 mark gave Wofford its first advantage since
the first five minutes of the game.
After Xavier's Brad Redford converted a 3-pointer with eight seconds left to
tie the game at 55-55, Jeff Robinson fouled Skinner sending him to the free-
throw line. Skinner split the free throws, giving the Terriers the one-point
lead that they needed.
Wofford was 15-of-17 at the charity stripe, while Xavier was just 8-of-16 on
the day.
