Taran Buie and Stevie Mejia each dropped in 13 points for the Pride (3-10), who fell to 0-6 on the road this season. Mejia buried a jumper with just over one minute remaining to knot the game at 57-all, but Jordan McCoy knocked down a pair of free throws to put FAU up 59-57 with 36 seconds left. Buie was stripped by Cavon Baker who was fouled and split a pair from the charity stripe to give the Owls a three-point lead.
