(Saturday, February 18th) Final Score: St. John's 66, UCLA 63 New York, NY (Sports Network) - D'Angelo Harrison registered a game-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the St. John's Red Storm outlasted the UCLA Bruins, 66-63, in a non-conference tussle at Madison Square Garden. Sir'Dominic Pointer added 13 points in the win for St. John's (11-16), which also got 11 points from Phil Greene. Moe Harkless finished with a double- double for the Red Storm, tallying 10 points to go with 12 boards. Tyler Lamb scored 18 points to pace UCLA (15-12), while Joshua Smith and David Wear netted 13 points apiece. Travis Wear got into the mix as well, chipping in 11 points and pulling down a game-high 13 rebounds. The Bruins held St. John's to a meager 36.7 percent from the field during the opening frame, but a 9-for-9 effort at the foul line gave the Red Storm a 35-30 halftime advantage. The Red Storm then held UCLA to a 38.7 percent clip over the final 20 minutes to escape with a three-point verdict.
