Description: Tampa Bay starter Jeremy Hellickson is targeting June 1st for his return from elbow surgery. SOURCE: Tampa Bay Times
Insight: The Rays originally expected him back in mid-May but that's not going to happen. Hellickson (12-10, 5.17 ERA) is coming off a rocky season that even included a demotion to Double-A. So far, he's gone undrafted in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.

Insight: Hellickson had a miserable 2013 going 12-10 with a 5.17 ERA. That includes a 7.15 ERA in his final 45 1/3 innings. Expectations are for a mid-to-late May return.

Description: Rays right-hander Jeremy Hellickson will start Game 4 of the ALDS against the Red Sox.
Insight: Hellickson had a miserable season, going 12-10 with a 5.17 ERA. That includes a 7.15 ERA in his final 45 1/3 innings. However, he did have a 3.44 ERA in 18 1/3 innings against the Red Sox.

Description: Making just his seventh major league appearance out of the bullpen, Tampa Bay righthander Jeremy Hellickson pitched 2 1/3 innings for the win Friday in an 18-inning win over Baltimore.
Insight: It puts the Rays in a bit of a bind because Hellickson was supposed to start Sunday's game. Now they'll likely to turn to Jake Odorizzi, who went 9-6 with a 3.33 ERA this season in 22 starts for Triple-A Durham.

Cold9/17/2013 10:26:00 PM
Description: Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson surrendered five runs over 2 2/3 innings Tuesday against the Rangers.
Insight: Hellickson was decent in his first two starts since returning from the minors, but Tuesday's outing shows why fantasy owners cannot trust him at this point. He is 1-6 with a 7.75 ERA over his last nine starts.

Cold9/3/2013 6:10:00 PM
Description: Jeremy Hellickson will start for the Rays Wednesday against the Angels.

Description: The Rays have demoted Jeremy Hellickson to High-A Charlotte.
Insight: Rays manager Joe Maddon said the right-hander is going down for rest and will return when Charlotte's season ends, according to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune. Hellickson has gone 0-5 with a 9.00 ERA and a 2.12 WHIP in 25 innings over his last six starts, failing to get out of the fifth inning in any of them.

Cold8/21/2013 10:22:00 PM
Description: Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson failed to make it out of the fifth inning Wednesday against the Orioles.
Insight: He's failed to do that four times in his last five starts and is 0-4 with an 8.06 ERA and a 2.10 WHIP in that span. After two strong seasons, it just isn't happening for Hellickson this year.

Cold8/11/2013 10:03:00 PM
Description: Jeremy Hellickson's slump continued Sunday versus the Dodgers.
Insight: The Dodgers pummeled Hellickson on Sunday, going off for seven hits and four runs in his three innings of work. Assuming Los Angeles holds on to its 8-1 lead, Hellickson will drop to 0-3 in his last three outings. Over that stretch he has an ERA north of nine (9.75).

Hot7/1/2013 9:59:00 AM

Insight: Hellickson's ERA for the month would have been better if he hadn't allowed eight runs against the Royals in his lone loss of June. In his five wins, he gave up just six runs combined.

Hellickson doesn't put up great strikeout numbers, but he has consistently been one of the top pitchers in the league with runners on base.

Description: Jon Heyman from CBS Sports has reported that several teams are interested in trading for Rays starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson.
Insight: We figured James Shields would be the primary trade target this winter but apparently teams have set their sights on another member of the Tampa Bay pitching staff instead. Hellickson hasn't had a bad season yet and was the keeper of a stunning 3.10 ERA last season. The 25-year-old righthander earned $489,000 with the Rays in 2012.

9/23/2012 6:08:00 PM
Description: Tampa Bay starter Jeremy Hellickson improved to 9-10 with 5 2/3 scoreless innings of five-hit ball Sunday against the Blue Jays.
Insight: Hellickson hasn't been as good as his rookie season but fantasy owners will take a 3.20 ERA and 1.27 WHIP from him everyday.

Hot8/20/2012 10:09:00 PM
Description: Tampa Bay starter Jeremy Hellickson pitched well Monday night against the Royals. In seven frames, the righthander gave up just six hits and one run, walking one and striking out six.
Insight: Hellickson is 1-1 with an impressive 1.29 ERA in his last two starts. The only reason he's not 2-0 in that span is because he pitched against Felix Hernandez when he threw his perfect game on Wednesday.

Description: Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson won his first start since May 16 Tuesday against Baltimore. Hellickson collected six losses in between victories.
Insight: Hellickson (5-6, 3.42 ERA) pitched well in his previous three starts (18 IP, 15 H, 8 ER) but he didn't receive any run support. He didn't get much Tuesday either, but it was enough as he held Baltimore to one run on three hits in 6 1/3 innings.
