Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Brandon Morrow threw six strong innings of one- run ball and the Toronto Blue Jays topped Oakland, 5-2, to earn a split of a two-game series on Wednesday.

Morrow (4-1) scattered four hits and walked four while striking out 10. He allowed his first run since an April 23 start against the Kansas City Royals. Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth to nail down his first save of the season.

Adam Lind smoked a two-run homer and Edwin Encarnacion and J.P. Arencibia added solo shots, while Colby Rasmus contributed an RBI single for the Blue Jays, who snapped a three-game skid.

Josh Reddick and Jonny Gomes had an RBI apiece and Jemile Weeks added a pair of hits for the Athletics, who had their three-game winning streak halted.

Tyson Ross (1-3) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while fanning three in 5 2/3 innings.

The A's wasted a bases-loaded chance in the first and Toronto broke the scoreless tie in the fourth. Eric Thames roped a single up the middle, and after Brett Lawrie grounded out and Rasmus whiffed, Lind came through by waiting back on a changeup from Ross crushing it over the wall in right.

The A's got one back in the fifth with a two-out rally. After Anthony Recker and Weeks struck out, Cliff Pennington and Reddick drew consecutive walks. Gomes then slapped a single into left to bring home Pennington for a 2-1 game.

Lawrie ripped a two-out double down the line in right in the sixth and came around to score on a base hit by Rasmus.

Arencibia led off the seventh by taking a slider from Pedro Figueroa deep into the left field seats to make it a 4-1 game.

Recker coaxed a leadoff walk from Luis Perez in the home half of the inning and Pennington laced a base hit into right field two hitters later to put runners on the corners. Reddick then lined one into right to score Recker.

Carlos Villanueva then put out the fire, fanning Gomes and retiring Seth Smith on a fly ball to cap the seventh.

The Blue Jays got the run right back in the eighth when Encarnacion led off by blasting a hanging sinker from Jerry Blevins over the wall in center field.

The A's played their seventh day game of the season, which is the fewest total in the majors.
