Berkeley, CA (Sports Network) - Tyrone Wallace recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the California Golden Bears defeated the Colorado Buffaloes, 62-46, in Pac-12 Conference action at Haas Pavilion.
David Kravish also registered a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards for the Golden Bears (20-9, 12-5 Pac-12). Justin Cobbs added 16 points and five assists as California extended to a seven-game winning streak. The last time the Bears won seven straight conference games was during the 2002-2003 season.
For the Buffaloes (19-9, 9-7), Xavier Johnson put up 14 points and seven boards. Josh Scott recorded 11 rebounds but just four points, shooting a mere 2-of-10 from the field as Colorado had a two-game winning streak snapped.
In the first half Colorado was held to 25.8 percent shooting from the floor. California made 45.8 percent of it's field goals, en route to a 24-20 advantage at the break.
California continued its defensive effort in the second half, holding Colorado to a mere 7-of-34 from the field. California made 15-of-32 from the floor as it claimed the 16-point victory.
California held the starting five for the visitors to just 14-of-59 from the field and the entire Colorado squad to only 23.1 percent accuracy overall.
