YSU started the game with an 8-0 run, en route to a 25-14 lead at the break. The hosts shot a mere 3-of-24 from the floor in the frame, including 1-of-7 behind the three-point line.

Georgia was much more accurate in the second half, knocking down 48.3 percent from the field and 5-of-9 on the perimeter, but it was too little, too late in the 12-point decision.

The Penguins scored the first points of the contest and never looked back, surviving 17 turnovers in the process.
