NCAA Game Summary - Rutgers at Louisville

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Freshman Chane Behanan scored a career-high 23 points to go along with 11 rebounds, as the Louisville Cardinals pulled away from Rutgers late to claim a 78-66 victory in a Big East tussle at the KFC Yum! Center.
Kyle Kuric added 14 points, Russ Smith scored 12, and Peyton Siva finished with 10 points in the victory. Chris Smith (eight points) grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds to go along with six assists and three steals for the Cardinals (18-5, 6-4 Big East), who have won four straight after a 2-4 start in conference play.
The Scarlet Knights (12-12, 4-7) have now dropped four of their last five, despite a game-high 24 points from Eli Carter. However, Carter was the only Rutgers player in double figures.
Behanan was perfect from the floor in the first half and had 13 points at the break, while Smith scored 11 in 10 minutes off the bench to help the Cardinals to a 41-36 halftime lead.
Rutgers hung around thanks to a 6-of-12 effort from beyond the arc in the second stanza. The Scarlet Knights were trailing 53-50 midway through the second half before Louisville went on a 12-0 run to end the threat.
Behanan hit his first 10 shots from the floor and finished 11-of-12. Louisville held a 40-25 rebounding advantage for the game. Rutgers head coach Mike Rice was ejected late in the first half for arguing with officials.
