NCAA Game Summary - USC Upstate at Old Dominion

Norfolk, VA (Sports Network) - Kent Bazemore scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Old Dominion took out USC Upstate, 65-56, in the second round of the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament.
Also scoring in double figures for the Monarchs (22-13) was Nick Wright who delivered 11 points off the bench for the hosts.
The Spartans (21-13) were paced by Ty Greene and Ricardo Glenn with 12 points apiece, the latter also pulling down a game-high 16 rebounds in the losing cause. Torrey Craig, who entered the game as the team's leading scorer with 17.1 ppg, converted just 1-of-11 shots from the floor as he finished with a mere three points.
Upstate led by four points early in the meeting, but the visitors shot just 25.9 percent from the field and 1-of-10 behind the three-point line in the first half, allowing ODU to post a 31-19 lead at the break.
In the second half the Monarchs made up for just one three-pointer on seven tries by connecting on 15-of-24 at the free-throw line, en route to the nine- point triumph.
Old Dominion was slowed by 20 turnovers in the meeting, but tried to make up for it by outscoring the Spartans at the charity stripe, 21-10. It also helped that the hosts held a 49-33 edge on the glass.
With the victory the Monarchs advance to the quarterfinal round and will clash with Mercer on Wednesday.
