NCAA Game Summary - Tennessee Tech at Georgia State

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Led by 24 points from Devonta White, the Georgia State Panthers downed the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 74-43, in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament at GSU Sports Arena.
James Fields added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers (22-11).
Liam McMorrow led the Golden Eagles (19-14) with 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
Georgia State opened the contest connecting on 55.6 percent of its shots from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. Tennessee Tech struggled in the first half, and made only 30.8 percent of its shots while missing all but one of its three-point attempts. A 20-5 run by the Panthers early in the contest gave them a 27-12 lead. GSU took a 42-21 lead into halftime.
After the break, the Panthers hit 50 percent of their shots from the field, and held the Golden Eagles to just 26.5 percent shooting. Georgia State led by as many as 31, as they cruised to victory, their first in the postseason since 2001.
Georgia State dominated in the paint, outscoring Tennessee Tech 40-26. The Golden Eagles finished the game shooting just 2-of-22 from three-point range.
