Final Score: The Citadel 48, Chattanooga 46

Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Led by 15 points from Lawrence Miller and 15 rebounds from Mike Groselle, The Citadel Bulldogs defeated the Chattanooga Mocs 48-46 in Southern Conference action at McKenzie Arena.

With the win, the Bulldogs (5-22, 2-14 SoCon) snapped an 11-game losing streak.

Dontay Hampton led the Mocs (10-19, 4-12) with 12 points while Drazen Zlovaric chipped in 11 points.

The Citadel shot well to open the contest, hitting on 45 percent from the field, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. Chattanooga struggled, making only 37 percent and just 2-of-11 three-pointers, but the Mocs were able to take a slim, 26-25 lead into intermission.

After the break, the Mocs continued to have problems shooting the ball, connecting on only 26.9 percent from the field and missing all but one of their 10 three-point attempts. The Bulldogs again shot 45 percent from the field, including 4-of-10 from long range, as they were able to pull off the road victory.

Chattanooga outscored The Citadel in the paint, 26-16. The Bulldogs had a slight edge on the boards, 31-29.
