NCAA Game Summary - Stony Brook at Northeastern

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Dave Coley posted a game-high 21 points to lead the Stony Brook Seawolves to a 76-69 win over the Northeastern Huskies in BracketBusters action at Matthews Arena.

Tommy Brenton added 13 points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists in the win for Stony Brook (18-8), while Dallis Joyner finished with a double- double of 10 points and 10 boards.

Joel Smith registered 20 points to lead the way for Northeastern (12-15), while Jonathan Lee helped pace the squad with a 15-point effort. Quincy Ford tallied 14 points as well for the Huskies, and Kauri Black chipped in 10 points off the bench in a losing effort.

The Huskies shot 48.1 percent from the field during the opening stanza, but went into the break tied with the Seawolves 35-35. Stony Brook converted a lackluster, but effective, 13-of-25 at the foul line during the frame.

The Seawolves then converted 52.0 percent of their attempts from the floor over the final 20 minutes to capture a seven-point victory.

The Seawolves forced a game-high 11 turnovers during the meeting, and won the battle of the boards by a 38-26 margin.
