NCAA Game Summary - Towson at Northeastern

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Joel Smith's 20 points paced four players in double figures as the Northeastern Huskies downed the Towson Tigers 70-51 in Colonial Athletic Association action at Matthews Arena.
Reggie Spencer added 17 points and six rebounds for the Huskies (12-14, 8-8 CAA) as they snapped their four-game losing streak. Quincy Ford added 12 points and Jonathan Lee chipped in 10 points.
Robert Nwankwo scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the Tigers (1-27, 1-15), who have lost their last five. Marcus Damas added 15 points and five assists.
Northeastern led 37-27 at halftime after shooting 48 percent from the floor in the opening half. Towson shot 37.5 percent from the field in the first period.
Northeastern led by as many as 25 in the second half.
The Huskies converted Towson's 19 turnovers into 29 points in the contest. The Tigers managed just nine points off of Northeastern's 18 turnovers.
