Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Richaud Pack converted all 11 shots at the free-throw line, finishing with a game-high 22 points, as the Aggies of North Carolina A&T took down the Delaware State Hornets, 66-55, in a Mid- Eastern Athletic Conference battle at the Corbett Sports Center.
Also scoring in double figures for the Aggies (6-12, 2-1 MEAC) were Jeremy Underwood and Bruce Beckford with 13 and 11 points, respectively, the latter shooting 5-of-6 from the floor and clearing a team-best seven rebounds as they posted a second straight win.
The Hornets (4-14, 0-6), losers of four straight, were led by Tyshawn Bell with 17 points and Casey Walker who tallied 16 despite shooting only 1-of-7 behind the 3-point line.
NC A&T scored the first points of the night and never looked back, hitting on 6-of-12 beyond the arc and 12-of-13 at the free-throw line in the first half in order to claim a 36-20 advantage at the break. Delaware State knocked down only seven field goals through the first 20 minutes of action.
In the second half the Aggies were the ones with just seven made field goals, but at the same time the hosts held DSU to a mere 2-of-11 on the perimeter in order to secure the double-digit victory.
Not only did the Aggies outscore the Hornets at the free-throw line by a 24-9 margin, they also won the rebounding battle with a 41-23 edge.
