Flagstaff, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Kris Yanku made a layup just before the final buzzer to lift the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks to a 67-65 win over the Idaho State Bengals in a Big Sky Conference thriller at Walkup Skydome.

Quinton Upshur poured in a game-high 20 points for NAU (9-12, 6-4 Big Sky), which also received 18 points courtesy of Aaseem Dixon. Len Springs posted eight points and 11 rebounds to help the Lumberjacks snap a three-game losing streak.

Chris Hansen led the Bengals (7-12, 4-6) with 15 points which he accompanied with six boards. Andre Hatchett added 14 points, Tomas Sanchez had 11 points and Jeffrey Solarin grabbed eight rebounds for ISU, which fell to 1-9 in true road tests on the campaign.

The Bengals took a 37-30 lead into the break after they outrebounded the hosts, 21-13, and shot 43.3 percent from the floor in the opening period. NAU managed to make 42.3 percent of its field goal tries including a 4-of-10 clip from 3-point range in the first half.

The Lumberjacks rallied back after the intermission as they drained 46.4 percent of their attempts from the floor. ISU was outscored, 7-4, at the free- throw line in the second stanza. Both sides were held scoreless for almost three minutes before Solarin made a layup to tie the score at 65 with 32 seconds left. After Yanku's last second go ahead layup, Sanchez missed a desperation 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Despite the loss, ISU enjoyed a 35-29 edge in the rebounding battle.
