Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Steve Zack notched a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds as the La Salle Explorers defeated the Duquesne Dukes, 71-63, in an Atlantic 10 tilt at Tom Gola Arena.
Tyreek Duren scored 13 points for La Salle (12-9, 4-3 A-10), which ended a three-game losing streak. Tyrone Garland and Jerrell Wright each tallied 11 points, and Sam Mills chipped in 10 in the win.
Ovie Soko led all scorers in the game with 23 points, adding eight rebounds for Duquesne (10-10, 2-5). Tra'Vaughn White contributed 13 points in the loss, which was Duquesne's fifth in its last seven games.
Neither team started strong in the first half, as La Salle connected on 31.3 percent of its shots to Duquesne's 27.3 shooting percentage in the frame. The Explorers took a slim 27-25 lead into the intermission.
