Tallahassee, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Okaro White netted 18 points and hit 10- of-11 from the free-throw line to lead his Florida State Seminoles past the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 81-71, in an Atlantic Coast Conference tilt at Donald Tucker Center.

Devon Bookert contributed 16 points off the bench, and Ian Miller and Aaron Thomas each tallied 15 points for Florida State (17-11, 8-8 ACC). Montay Brandon grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds in the win, which was the third in the Seminoles' last four games.

Robert Carter Jr. scored 20 points to lead Georgia Tech (13-15, 4-11), adding six rebounds and a perfect 11-of-11 from the free-throw line. Trae Golden chipped in 16 points, and Daniel Miller notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Yellow Jackets have dropped four straight contests.

Florida State connected on 45.8 percent of its shot attempts in the opening half, including 4-of-7 from 3-point distance, and took a 35-31 lead into the half. Georgia Tech hit 36.4 percent from the floor in the frame, and made just 2-of-11 from beyond the arc.

The Seminoles heated up in the second half, netting 61.1 percent of their field goal tries, and made 22-of-25 from the free-throw line. The Yellow Jackets shot 36.1 percent in the period, and went a dismal 3-of-16 from 3- point range. The Seminoles built on their first-half lead and coasted to victory.

Florida State outscored Georgia Tech from the free-throw line, 31-16, and had the edge in bench points, 24-14. The Yellow Jackets won the battle in points in the paint, 34-24.
