GAME NOTES: Wake Forest puts its unblemished home record on the line tonight, as the Demon Deacons host St. Bonaventure in a non-conference affair at Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

A perfect 7-0 in Winston-Salem, the Demon Deacons have been out of action for 10 days. The team last took the floor back on Dec. 7 versus Richmond and needed overtime to take down the Spiders, 76-66. The victory was the second in a row and the third in four tries for the program.

As for the Bonnies, since starting out 2013-14 with five wins in six tries, the lone setback being a two-point decision versus Siena on the road, they've split the last four contests. On Saturday, the program scored a season-high 102 points in a 13-point victory over Iona, the first true road victory for St. Bonaventure in three tries.

Wake Forest won the only previous meeting between the teams, a 78-73 final during the second round of the 1961 NCAA Tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Bonnies took the lead right out of the gate against Iona and never looked back, shooting an impressive 54.5 percent from the field and 8-of-16 beyond the arc at the Hynes Center. Andell Cumberbatch led the way with 25 points, adding seven rebounds and five assists, while Dion Wright came off the bench to offer up 22 points and eight boards. Charlon Kloof and Jordan Gathers both posted 17 points and Marquise Simmons came up with a double-double consisting of 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds as the team crushed the Gaels on the glass, 44-28.

Through 10 games, the Bonnies are scoring 76.6 ppg and topping opponents on the boards by eight rebounds per game. However, the group is shooting only 29.5 percent behind the 3-point line and will be missing leading scorer Matthew Wright (17.3 ppg) until further notice because of an ankle injury. Should Wright be unable to go tonight, that leaves Kloof (13.2 ppg) and Cumberbatch (12.1 ppg) as the top offensive sources for the program.

Codi Miller-McIntyre took charge for the Demon Deacons during their meeting with Richmond, posting 26 points and handing out four of the unit's 11 assists as the hosts slipped by in overtime. While he shot just 4-of-14 from the field and finished with 11 points in 35 minutes of action off the bench, Devin Thomas erupted for 19 rebounds, his eight at the offensive end of the floor matching the total recorded by the Spiders. Tyler Cavanaugh and Travis McKie pitched in with 15 and 10 points, respectively, but at the same time turned the ball over a combined seven times without benefit of a single assist.

Doing all he can to make Wake Forest successful in the early going, Miller- McIntyre is not only leading the team in scoring with 17.9 ppg, he is also tops in assists (4.4 apg) and is not afraid to get physical in the paint (3.8 rpg). Coron Williams has started just one game and yet he is second on the team with 11.5 ppg, followed by Thomas and McKie with 11.1 and 10.6 ppg, respectively. Thanks to Thomas and his 9.8 rpg, the Demon Deacons are beating opponents on the glass by an even 10 rpg.

If Wright is again missing in action the Bonnies will be at a serious disadvantage in this contest. Granted, Thomas isn't expected to be as much of a beast on the glass as he was versus Richmond, but still the Demon Deacons could do some real damage in the paint tonight.
