NCAA Game Summary - San Diego at Pacific

(Saturday, February 15th)

Final Score: San Diego 70, Pacific 55

Stockton, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Johnny Dee scored 19 points and Christopher Anderson nearly recorded a triple-double as the San Diego Toreros bested the Pacific Tigers, 70-55, in a West Coast Conference clash at the Spanos Center.

Anderson finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for San Diego (14-14, 5-10 WCC), which ended a four-game losing streak. Nick Kerr nailed 4- of-6 from 3-point range to tally 12 points.

Thomas Peters notched 16 points and Sama Taku finished with 15 for Pacific (14-11, 5-9).

San Diego hit on 53.8 percent from the floor, including a 6-of-8 showing from beyond the arc, in the first half. Pacific could only manage a 37.5 percent effort from the field and trailed, 44-23 at the break.

The Toreros cooled off considerably after the intermission, recording only six field goals in the second frame. However, the Tigers had only nine and could do no more than make a dent in their deficit.

Pacific lost despite doubling up San Diego on points in the paint (28-14). The Toreros owned a 36-22 edge on the glass.
