NCAA Game Summary - New Mexico at Indiana State

Terre Haute, IN (Sports Network) - Hugh Greenwood scored eight of his 14 points in overtime as 25th-ranked New Mexico took a 77-68 win over Indiana State in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge.
Kendall Williams posted 24 points while Greenwood added nine rebounds for the Lobos (8-0), who were playing their first true road game of the season. Chad Adams added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Jake Odum had a game-high 25 points to go with seven rebounds for the Sycamores (4-2), who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
It was all New Mexico in overtime as Greenwood began the session with a 3- pointer and Tony Snell followed with a bucket. After Odum put in a layup, Greenwood added a basket.
Manny Arop then hit a layup with 1:12 to play, but Greenwood's second 3- pointer of the frame came with 47 seconds left to put the contest away.
The Lobos held a six-point lead with 4 1/2 minutes to play, but the Sycamores made it a three-point game at 60-57 when Odum hit a jumper and followed that with 1-of-2 from the line with 2 1/2 minutes left.
Williams answered with a layup for a five-point advantage, but Justin Gant hit a 3-pointer with 30 seconds to play.
After two free throws from Williams, Odum nailed a jumper and Williams followed with two misses from the line. Odum's layup with four seconds left sent the game to overtime.
"I'm really proud of the guys and how they fought," Indiana State coach Greg Lansing said. "An unbelievable effort in the second half against a team that deserves their ranking and more."
The Sycamores held a 13-10 lead midway through the opening half after consecutive dunks from Gant and Dawon Cummings, but the Lobos followed with the next nine points and Williams' 3-pointer gave the team a 19-13 lead with six minutes to play.
New Mexico closed the half with a 12-2 run with a Greenwood jumper giving the Lobos a 33-19 lead going into the break.
Indiana State kept the game from getting out of hand in the second half and an 8-2 run got the Sycamores within 13 points, 42-29, after a pair of Odum free throws 3 1/2 minutes in.
An 8-2 run later in the half pulled Indiana State within single-digits and Arop hit consecutive baskets to make it a 51-45 game with nine minutes to go.
Arop followed with a pair of free throws to get it within four points, but Williams answered with a three-point play on a jumper and free throw.
Cummings was fouled as he put in a layup and made the free shot to bring Indiana State with two points, 54-52, but New Mexico followed with four straight free throws, the last two coming from Adams for a 58-52 advantage with 4 1/2 minutes left.
New Mexico shot just 38.6 percent, but did grab 43 rebounds ... Indiana State made 39 percent of its attempts and brought down 32 boards ... This was the first time these two schools faced each other.
