Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) -
There's one week to go in the season and maybe just a point or two separating you from a title, or at least beating your rival. Is there anybody out there who can help put you over the top?
Possibly. Try a player from this group.
Billy Butler, 1B, Kansas City - I touted Butler about a week ago and if you picked him up he did you right. Butler batted .423 over the last seven days with three HRs and nine RBIs. He is hitting .359 for the month of September with an OPS of 1.124. Butler is owned in about 50% of all leagues.
Carlos Guillen, OF, Detroit - Guillen was MIA from the beginning of the year until he returned from injury in late July. Since then he's been a solid contributor. He hit .563 last week with two HRs, six RBIs and an OPS of 1.725. He is only owned in about 35% of all leagues.
Jack Cust, OF, Oakland - Mr. All-or-Nothing, Cust is usually good for home runs and strikeouts. Last year it was 33 and 197, respectively and this year it's 24 and 178. Last week, however, he batted .364 with an OPS of 1.189. He's likely available as he is owned in less than 20% of all leagues.
Jay Bruce, OF, Cincinnati - The only reason this talented outfielder might be available is because he was injured from the last half of July through the first half of September. Since coming back, he's batted .357 with a couple of homers and 11 RBI.
Martin Prado, 1B-2B-3B, Atlanta - Eligible at three positions makes Prado a valuable commodity, yet he's only owned in 19% of all leagues. He's batting .474 for the last seven days and .305 for the entire season with 11 HRs and 49 RBIs. He has an eight-game hitting streak.
