Former Wisconsin QB transfers to Towson
Towson, MD (Sports Network) - Former Wisconsin quarterback Joe Brennan has transferred to Towson and will play for the Tigers this season, coach Rob Ambrose announced Friday.
Brennan, a native of Audubon, N.J., who appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman at Wisconsin last season, has three years of eligibility remaining.
In 2009, Brennan was rated as the top high school quarterback in New Jersey as a senior at Camden Catholic.
As a member of Wisconsin's Big Ten Conference championship team last season, Brennan completed 6-of-15 passes for 48 yards. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder also rushed for nine yards and one touchdown on six carries.
Towson, the defending CAA Football champion, returns its starting quarterback in senior Grant Enders.
