William & Mary WR Moody may miss 2011 season
Williamsburg, VA - There is a distinct possibility All-CAA second-team wide receiver Ryan Moody of William & Mary will miss the 2011 season because of a knee injury he suffered during spring practice.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound junior, from Ashburn, Va., has been set back by injuries during his career, including a serious leg injury in 2009, which led to him using a medical redshirt.
He broke out with a banner season last fall when he led William & Mary with 47 receptions for 731 yards and two touchdowns, and ranked fifth in the CAA with 60.9 receiving yards per game.
William & Mary rose to No. 1 in The Sports Network/Fathead.com FCS Top 25 before finishing with a 8-4 record, a share of the CAA title and the No. 10 ranking.
The Tribe will kick off the 2011 season on Sept. 3 at Virginia.
