Description: The Washington Post reports the Redskins have placed Furrey (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his 2010 season.

Description: Redskins WR Mike Furrey (concussion) has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season. SOURCE: WASHINGTON POST
Insight: After multiple concussions, this should officially end Furrey's career in the NFL. He will best be known for being a PPR machine in 2006 with the Lions, where he racked up 98 receptions in Mike Martz's offense.

6/9/2010 10:34:00 PM
Description: The Redskins have signed Furrey.
Insight: Furrey is likely to compete with Bobby Wade to be the Redskins' slot receiver, a spot that could have some fantasy value with Donovan McNabb at the helm. (SportsBuff.com)

4/29/2010 12:47:00 PM
Description: ESPN Chicago.com reports the Bears have been touching base with Furrey.
Insight: Furrey played in Mike Martz's system in St. Louis and Detroit. He may be able to help the other Bears' receivers learn the offense, but his fantasy value is virtually non-existent. (SportsBuff.com)

5/6/2009 1:49:00 PM
Description: Furrey has signed with the Browns.
Insight: The former Lion once led the NFC in receptions but was released after last season. He joins a wide open receiving corps in Cleveland, where he could climb as high as No. 2 behind Braylon Edwards. Ultimately, though, Furrey shouldn't get any fantasy looks until at least the last couple of rounds of the draft. More likely, he'll be waiver wire fodder. (SportsBuff.com)

2/10/2009 3:43:00 PM
Description: As expected, Furrey was released by the Lions on Monday, the first day teams could drop players.
Insight: Furrey isn't much of a fantasy factor, but he's been a decent PPR fill-in here and there. Don't be surprised if he winds up with any team that brings in Mike Martz as offensive coordinator. (SportsBuff.com)

11/5/2008 3:45:00 PM
Description: Furrey had four catches for 40 yards in Week 9 in Chicago and has gotten some of the passes that were thrown to Roy Williams before he was traded to Dallas.
Insight: Furrey will also benefit from the addition of Culpepper. He has always had the ability to run good routes and keep the chains moving. (SportsBuff.com)
